Amos W. Fischer married Esther D. Delgado on 20 Jan 1968 at Carson City, NV.
A family tree owned by "AmosFischer1" identified Amos, son of Amos William
Fischer 1888-1955, was born May 1920, died 25 Dec 1978 in San Francisco. The tree
identified two spouses, "Living" Martinez, with whom two sons were born; and
Living Way, with whom two daughters were born. The daughters, Carol Fischer,
1942-1997(Los Angeles); and, Linda Fischer, 1944-1973(Attleboro, Bristol Co,
Massachusettes).

I sent a message to the owner to read this thread, perhaps having information. This
"might" be your tree. If so, post the link when you post a query, that helps
volunteers to see the "big picture" needed for research.
In this case, Amos was born in Kansas, was living in Kansas in 1940. It isn't
identified if he was living in Nevada when married in 1968, or just married there. If you
do know where he divorced "Mary King" that case record could be obtained.
Divorce/Dissolution is a civil case filed in the Superior (Circuit, sometimes District
Court in some States) and are public record. The case would be file where the Petitioner
lived or filed. Most require the Petitioner to live in the jurisdiction of the court;
however, that is not always the case. The Case title would be Name, Petitioner, versus
Name, Respondent, followed by words such as Petition for Dissolution.
For marriage, Amos would not have had to provide divorce documentation to a court in
Carson City or to the County Auditor, where the application for marriage was filed. I
don't know of any place requiring proof; however, there may be such requirements
somewhere. You could contact the County Auditor in that county.
I now find your family tree:
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/14119600/person/66185460?ssrc=
It appears he had married in 1943 in Clark County, WA to an Evelyn Tews, 1945 to
"Living" King. He lived in Louisiana in 1955. So his divorce from Mary King
could be found where married, or almost anywhere that she had lived (given she was the
Petitioner). Your tree identifies he lived in California when married in Nevada, so about
the only documentation would be the application and certificate of marriage. Your tree
has no information on King, do you have any information?
