The AmosFischer1 tree that you found is indeed related to my tree, young Amos started his
tree and then found my tree (which included his father) and then we corresponded and
shared information.
My tree contains three known marriages for Amos. The first marriage was to Evelyn Tews
for which I found documentation. The second marriage to Mary King is assumed but might
not have occurred. Amos and Mary had at least four children together, two were given up
for adoption. On one of the (adopted) children's birth certificates is listed Mary K.
Fischer as the mother but the fact that she was using the Fischer surname doesn't mean
necessarily that they were legally married. I have yet to find any evidence of marriage
or divorce. I am in contact with one of the adopted children as well as a child of the
last marriage but we have very little to go on except a photo and old tales. We would
like to find the remaining children of Mary King as well as Mary herself, if she is still
living.
I talked to a clerk in Carson City who kindly looked up the marriage license application
for Amos & Esther - Amos said he had never before been married, even though he had
been married at least once. So my most promising lead has led nowhere!
AmosFischer1 tree contains two daughters of Amos, Linda and Carol. They are known to us
only from what we heard from the third wife but we have no dates. The death dates for
those girls are records that young Amos found that might be likely, but not at all
validated. Fischer is a common surname.
