Hi:
I just signed onto this list. I've been looking for information on a
Mollie FORSHAY. She was a Navada Lady of the Evening in her day. She stab a man
named Tom Kelly in 1872. Was sent to the Nevada State Prison for 27 years
where she gave birth to a set of twins. She said the prison warden was the
father.
I found her on the 1880 Nevada census that she was born in 1857 in
Pennsylvania. I have a lot of newspaper articles about her trial. What I am trying
to find is who her parents were, what happened to her when she got out of
jail and what happen to the twins?
I found where you can go to the Nevada State Library & Archives at 100 N.
Stewart St, Carson City and view the prison records. I found her listed:
Mollie Forshay 0100 1872 NSP-0002.
I went to the RAOGK, but there was nobody listed for Carson County. So my
only hope is through this list. I have been trying everything to find the
information on her for the last 3 years. She is my BRICK WALL.
Any help on this research will be greatly appreciated.
