Can someone in the Carson City / Steamboat springs area provide the precise location of a
marker inscribed as follows:
Dedicated to all pioneers who migrate westward across the plains and over rugged
mountains
Jeremiah Rogers
1830 - 1861
Native of Indiana
Erected by Mrs Mary A. Rogers Shade, Daughter and Nettie A.Shade, granddaughter, Walnut
Creek, California
In the 1960's this marker was reported to be "a few yards west of highway 395 at
steamboat".
Jeremiah was my gggrandfather and I would like to determine if the monument still exists
and if it does, it's location. A digital photo would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Michael Hallett
