Article Description: Pioneer Mining Man Dies Of Heart Failure

J. J. M. BLAINE, a pioneer mining man of Nevada and who owned the Livingston rooming
house on Esmeralda Street, died of heart failure at 8:30 o'clock Tuseday night (5 May
1908). He had been temporarily indisposed, but at the time of his taking off was in the
best of spirits. He was born in the Shennandoah Valley of Virginia 11 Jan 1852 and
immigrated to the West some 50 years ago. He was married to his present wife, the former
Mrs. Julia HANELL, the 6th day of November in San Francisco 1907. He leaves no other
relatives in this state. He has a sister and two brothers living, the sister residing in
Virginia, one brother living in Texas and the other in Tennessee. He was a member of the
I.O.O.F. holding a charter membershipcard at Nevada City, California. He will be buried
