Robert Clarke 1956-2006 SYDNEY MINES Robert Clarke passed away Wednesday,
August 23, 2006. Born in Glace Bay and spending the last 29 years in Sydney
Mines, he was the son of the late Malcolm and Lillian (Penny) Clarke.
Robert attended Halifax School for the Deaf as a child and made many life
long friends. Always a practical joker and loved to fish, Robert was quick
to give you a smile and was comfortable socializing with hearing as well as
friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Heather, Sydney Mines, and
son, Rob Clarke, Halifax; brothers, George (Marie) and Max, Glace Bay, Jim
(Sheila), New Waterford, David, Ontario; sisters, Ethel (Bill) Leavings,
(Earl) Drinkwater, Margerie Hines, Brenda (Angus) Warren, Ont., and many
nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ralph, of Ontario.
Robert wishes were to have his body donated to science. Notification will
be printed at a later date with details of the memorial service. Please

Mike Livingstone 1918-2006 EAST BAY Michael Mary Livingstone of 3869 East
Bay Highway, passed away peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital
on Friday, August 25, 2006. Born in Reserve Mines, Michael was the youngest
of the late Charles and Ellen (MacGillivary) Livingstone. He was adopted by
the late Angus and Mary MacEachern of East Bay and was predeceased by six
brothers and one sister. Michael worked for Burns Construction for 18
years. Michael leaves to mourn his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Isobel,
Toronto, Ont.; Margie Ann, Vancouver, B.C.; three sons, Charles, East Bay,
Bernard, Toronto, Ont.;Kenny, at home. He is also survived by three
grandchildren, Andrew, Michael and Fortini. There will be no visitation.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, East Bay, at 10
a.m. on Tuesday, August 29th. Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations
may be made to the Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility or the Cape Breton

Mabel Damjanov Born December 10, 1936 in North Sydney, N.S., Mabel Damjanov
(nee LeMoine) passed away peacefully after a long and difficult battle with
cancer on August 17, 2006. She is survived by her children, Yvonne Craig
(Mark) and William Donnelly; her grandchildren, Robert and Anthony, and her
brothers, Adam LeMoine (Audrey) and Roy LeMoine (Tina). She will be missed
by many nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by many friends.
Predeceased by her husband, Anton (Tony), her grandson, Joseph Craig, and
her siblings, Hudson LeMoine, Yvonne LeMoine, Ruth Baker and Irene
MacDonald. Special thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at
Élisabeth Bruyère for the wonderful care you provided over the past two
months. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 28, 2006 at 10
a.m. in Christ Church, Ochterloney Street, Dartmouth, N.S. Interment to
follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery, Cole Harbour, N.S. In lieu of flowers,
donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Élisabeth Bruyère Health Centre,
Ottawa, Ont., would be appreciated.
William Lawrence Walsh 86, SYDNEY We, the family of William 'Bill' Walsh,
regret to announce his passing, which occurred Friday, August 25, 2006 at
the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, he was the son
of the late Lawrence and Celeste (Bagnell) Walsh. He was a lifelong
professional driver with a long association with Briand's Cabs both as an
owner and driver.
Bill is survived by his son, Allan (Wanda); grandsons, Matthew and Ryan;
brothers, Reginald (Anne), Garfield, Douglas (Margie), Vernon (Terry), as
well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was
predeceased by his wife, Theresa (Arsenault), sister Vivian Snow, brothers,
Ernest, Edward, and James, sisters-inlaw, Theresa Walsh and Sophie Walsh.
Visitation will take place Monday, August 28, 2006 from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m.
at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Funeral
service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday August 29, 2006 at Christ Church,
Sydney with Rev. Glen Kent officiating. Interment to follow in Resurrection

Estelle Bois (Thorne) DARTMOUTH It is with deep sadness that we, the family
of Estelle Bois (Thorne) announce her passing Aug. 21, 2006. She is
survived by her husband, Marcel; daughters, Margaret, Dartmouth, Marian,
Antigonish, and Gerlyn, South Carolina; sister, Eileen Jackson, Halifax;
and eight great-grandchildren.
Earl D. Tucker 60, NAPLES, FL Earl D. Tucker, 60, of Naples, FL, formerly
of Marlborough, MA and North Sydney, N.S., died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006 at
home, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side.
Mr. Tucker was a veteran of the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart.
He leaves his daughters, Nanci Buchan and her husband, Marc, Kelly Girogi
and her husband, Peter, and Jennifer Tucker and her fiancé, Daniel Shanks;
his brother, Jim Tucker; sister, Beulah Pepoli; a stepdaughter, Kelly
Mongeau and her husband,
Joe, and stepson, Donald Padula; nine grandchildren, Sean, Lindsey,
Alexander, Olivia, Sydney, Ainsley, Ryan, Jacob and Carly; the love of his
life, Wendy and his family and friends whose lives were touched in every
moment spentwith him.
