Walter Edgar Dominie 57, GLACE BAY
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of
their father Walter Edgar Dominie. He passed away peacefully
Monday, June 27, 2005, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex.
Born in Burgeo,Nfld., he was the son of the late James and
Brenda (Chislett) Dominie. Walters passion was fishing;
he was employed as a fisherman for J.K. Marine, Louisbourg. He
will be fondly remembered for his card playing and being a
great friend to everyone who knew him. Walter will be greatly missed
by his children, Michael, Glace Bay, Kim (Darren) Dominie,
Glace Bay, Joe, Brampton, Ont.; two special grandchildren,
Stephen, who will always remember he was poppys little
buddy, and Rebecca his little Becky Boodles. Brothers, Kevin
(Mary Ann), Newfoundland, Gary (Donna), Rose Blanche,
Nfld.; special nephews, Dillon and Cory; sister, Lisa (Alex) Parsons,
Dartmouth. Walter will also be missed by close friend,
Bernice Jardine; and his buddy, Gerald Butts, whom he shared
many good times and many long drives. Visitation for the late Walter
Dominie will be (today) Wednesday June 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay.
Funeral service Thursday, 2 p.m. at St. Marys Anglican Church
with Revd Kirby Walsh officiating. In honouring Walters
request cremation will follow and burial will be at a later date.
Friends and relatives are invited to a reception at St.
Marys hall following the service. Any donations in Walters
memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or
charity of choice. The remains of Mr. Dominie
will be transferred to the church 12 p.m.
Reginald William Reg Talbot ONTARIO
Surrounded by his loving family, passed away after a courageous
battle with cancer on Thursday, June 23, 2005, in his
76th year at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
He will be sadly missed and was a loving father to Barb (Brian)
McCutchen, Paula (Ron) Ryan, Roy (Julese) of Cambridge,
Henry (Jane), Ginger (Donnie) McNeil of Glace Bay, N.S.
Stepfather to Liz (Mario) Moco. Loving Grampy to Melissa,
Stephanie, Steven, Mark, Reggie, Henry, Sherry and
Michelle. Great-grandfather of Olivia and Noah MacPherson.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Loving brother of Marl (Raymond) Currie,Eve Jewel,Roy of
Cambridge, Sis Burnell of Toronto, Deal (Howard) of
Tweed, Ont., Jude Talbot, Son (Jen) of Glace Bay,N.S.
Predeceased by his wife, Doris (1990), sister, Catherine,
grandson, Daniel and greatgranddaughter, Rebecca.
Reg retired from Babcock and Wilcox after 32 years of dedicated
service. He was a long-standing member of Royal Canadian
Legion (Galt) Branch 121 and a member of Army and Navy
Branch 246, Glace Bay,N.S. As per Regs wishes there
will be no funeral service and cremation has taken place.
Interment to take place in Glace Bay,N.S., at a later date.
In memory of Reg, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society,
the Kidney Foundation or the Childrens Wish Foundation
will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to
extend a very warm thank you to Dr. Chouinard, Dr. Frape, Dr.
May and Dr. Lawrie. Heartfelt thanks to Kate, Laura and Linda
of 3BS and Sue in Medical Day Care. Arrangements entrusted to

Joseph Alexander Devison OCT.25,1933-JUNE 27,2005
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we, the family, announce the
unexpected passing of Joseph Alexander Devison which
occurred June 27, 2005, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex.
Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Andrew and
Mary (Steele) Devison. Joe lived in Ontario in his
younger years returning to Glace Bay. He was employed
with NSPC Sydney as a lineman, until his retirement.
He was a very active member of the board of directors at
the Bayplex, as well as treasurer for the Cape Breton Snowmobile
Club. He was a member of St. Annes Church.
Joe was a very loving and caring brother, husband, father
and grandfather. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten
by all. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Catherine Elizabeth
Betty (Kelly); son, Rick and wife Bonnie, London, Ont.;
daughters, Denise and Gilles LePage, Halifax, Lisa and
Sandy McLean, Glace Bay. Besides his three children he
loved his grandchildren, Chynna Rae and Krayton McLean,
Carly and Heather Devison; brothers, Calder (Anne) and
Wilfred (Donna). Visitation will be Thursday,
June 30 at Currys Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay
from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St.
Annes Church, Glace Bay, Friday, July 1, at 11 a.m. with Fr.
Leo Boone officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
