I was talking to my mum Flora (Ross) Johnson today as we were looking
through some old photos, and ran across one of my grandmother that was taken
about 1918, included in the picture is a Mr. and Mrs. MacDonald. Mr.
MacDonald is wearing his Mason regalia. After some questioning as to who
they were she came up with this. Her family lived east of the pier at
Whitney Pier. She remembers that the sun set over the pier. The MacDonald's
and McLennan's lived to the SE across the field from them. Just to the north
was a Monbuquette family with a bunch of kids. Father might have been Louie,
and further north was the family of Jack? Collins.
MacLennan family might have been headed by Farquhar MacLennan, with a
son named Gordon.
