c.1900, Robert Nehemiah Flower lived at no 18 Mafeking Terrace, which I am
told is a group of terraced houses actually on Gateford Road, could anyone
tell me just how many houses this terrace consisted of ? I believe also
there is a date on the houses - does anyone live close enough to have a look
at the date. If anyone has any history relating to Gateford road, maybe they
would be able to tell me whether it was a case of Mafeking Terrace having
been in situe before the rest of Gateford Road, also if anyone happens to
live close enough and happens to be carrying a camera when passing - we'd
love a photo, expenses will be paid willingly.
Just thought of something else - does anyone have a directory of this area
c. 1900 where we could find out whether it was Robert who was living here or
if it was in fact his son in law Quinten Thomas Saxton who was head of
A lot to ask I know - but here's hoping
