My husband's grandfather Samuel was born in Pierrpont Street in 1870. His father
Charles (b.1841) and most of Charles siblings were born in Sneinton. By 1851 the family
were living -sans husband - in Pierrpont St where they obviously stayed for many years..
Can SKS tell me where in Nottingham, Pierrpont St. is/was and what church would have been
the local and also chapel for the non-conformists.
2) What would have been the local churches/chapels for Colwick St. Sneinton.
and finally if somebody said they were born Nottingham what sort of area would Nottingham
have covered in 1800 where I might find a baptism (church and chapel).
I don't know Nottingham at all but what villages on the outskirts of the city then,
would now be incorporated into modern Nottingham
Any help on this geography lesson would be much appreciated.
