Yes, Peter - it was really just an 1891 lookup. In 2007 I'd extracted
information on William Ward and his family on the 1891, but I'd never looked
for a George and Sarah Johnson on it, as they hadn't been on the 1881, and
they hadn't been together on the 1871 either. So I just wanted to ensure
that the couple on the 1891 weren't "my" George and Sarah - it's as
I'm grateful for all the helpful suggestions, which made me check my records
again, but I didn't include all the background as that wasn't relevant to my
simple request. I'm sorry if I caused unnecessary time wasting on the part
of the very helpful Notts listers. In future, I'll try to be more explicit
as to the scope of and reason for the request.

Were you really just after only a 1891 lookup? Have you looked there
The real issue was that you couldn't find George in 1871 or later. And
by 1881 John was living with his aunt and William with his employer. So
where too was Sarah?
If they're not in 1881, it's highly unlikely they are together in 1891,
especially since you've probably looked.
It just shows how easily requests can be misunderstood.
PS!! Mary Phoenix (nee Ward) incorrectly gives Mansfield as birthplace in
1881. So she is not the Mary Ward born Mansfield with Mary Wilson in 1871
