Edward WOOLLEY a draughtsman in the lace industry sailed for USA in 1889 on
SS Corea and settled in Chester Pennsylvania for work in the lace mills
there. Was later joined by his wife Lizzie Ann and children.
A letter ( 5 A4 sheets) was written to his family describing in detail life
on board and early impressions of his new country. A copy has recent come
into my possession as a result of my interest in his younger brother
Joseph - a collateral individual on the family tree.
Would be happy to send a copy of this to anyone researching this family.
In 1881 he was living with his father John and mother Elizabeth brothers and
sisters at 52 Liddington Street Basford.
