Subject: [Notts] Elizabeth Rainsford 1791 & Wray
I hope that this is the right list to post this. I have an Elizabeth
Rainsford b. abt 1791. The 1851 Census for Burton-on-Stather, Linc gives
place of birth as "Notts, Dunham". Her family was in
Burton-on Stather in
1829 when she is married there 16 Feb 1829, John Wray b. 2 May 1796

family. It is possible that they are cousins. Seems a bit of a
I can find no record of Rainsford in the place mentioned in the
This couple had a son William btz 4 Apr 1830 Burton-on-Stather. He married
bef 1858 Ellen M. ? born Great Yarmouth, Norfolk abt 1838. They had seven
children Margaret E, John M. Constance M, Frederich D, Beatrice M,
Christo---, and William V.
Does any of this sound familiar to anyone. Elizabeth would have been born
NOtts for that place to be slisted on the Census.
Thank you very much,
