Martha,
I have also found that many funeral homes are posting obituaries on
their websites. Four of the six funeral homes in Hernando Co FL where I
live are doing so and also have things set up so you can register on
their websites and receive every obituary for every body they handle. We
no longer have a local paper here and the Tampa Tribune and the Tampa
Bay Times (Formerly the St Petersburg Times) only print a Hernando Co
News section once a week and it has little in it anyway. I am currently
receiving obituaries by e-mail from 36 funeral homes in Florida.
I suggest that you or anyone else for that matter might like to check
Funeral Homes for areas you coordinate USGW sites to see if they also
offer this service. As time permits I am extracting information from
these obituaries and posting to my websites!
I will also check out the link you sent. It could be a good resource to
post on my websites as well.

Good Morning
I thought I would share this resource. The cost of putting Obits in
local newspapers has increased over the years so dramatically that many
families just cannot afford to do so. Thus, genealogists and historians
are being deprived of family information.
The National Obituary Archive provides a way to post obits online for no
cost.

I am going to add the above link to my New Jersey Counties.
