Oh, forgot to tell you, the other great thing I see about Google sites is you can be
ANYWHERE and have access to the Internet and you can work on your site!!!! If you can
sign into a gmail address, you can have a google site for your genealogy! Sign in to your
email, click on sites (once you have yours created), create new pages, work on current
pages, etc.! It's wonderful for folks who do not know or understand html. You have
to learn just a tiny bit to add links to things, but I am amazed at how easy it is for
someone who really doesn't know or understand creating web sites to use.
That is one of the biggest advances in creating web pages yet. I'm totally sold. It
isn't that I am lazy, it's that my time has been curtailed with work, and once I
took an evening to work with a friend, she showed me how easy it is. I'm beginning to
transfer bios I have on a flash drive into the Bergen and Hudson County sites. Once I
have more done on the pages and have everything transferred over that I have originally on
the site, I'll put links from the county page to the new google sites.
Have any of you ever worked with Google sites? Would love to hear your thoughts on them,
positive or negative. Since I have so little time to just do web pages now, it is going
to be a godsend to me, and I'm wondering about anyone else's experience with them.
Thanks.

Hi everyone:
Sorry I've been unavailable this weekend. Spent ALL day Saturday in a seminar
getting home at midnight, then driving all day Sunday up through the middle of Florida to
pick up my best friend from Indiana in middle Florida to come back down and stay with me
for a week in Boca. Thanks for your patience.
I am reporting in for Bergen and Hudson Counties, and as SC.
Okay, I'm getting dangerous. A friend has been teach me how to use Google sites and
I am working on Bergen and Hudson and will eventually be moving those two sites to Google
sites. Wow, is it easy. What is so cool about it is that you don't have to have ftp
to create sites. And it does a beautiful job with it once you understand how to use it.
Anyway, Bergen and Hudson are going to look very different from their current looks once I
get them complete and online.
Hope you are all doing well on your sites.
I think my time will be freeing up a little bit so I can get bakc to business here soon.
We are doing bankruptcy petitions and have been so busy it's ridiculous. Talk to you
all soon. Thanks for getting the rollcall started!
