Well, I found all the answers to my questions and also located the Great
Grandfather.
What is up with NJ in that death records are not public record? I applied
for a death certificate from 80 years ago and had to produce my birth
certificate, marriage certificate and my Mother and Grandfathers birth
certificate to establish lineage. Sheesh the Federal Government releases
the census after 70 years. In Michigan you can get any death or marriage
record of anyone as long as you pay the fee.
Still talking to myself over that.

Anyone know the nearest town to Upper Deerfield, NJ?
I think I found my Great Grandfather in the 1930 Census in Cumberland Co.
NJ. Have been searching for him for 22 years in MI and WI.
I'm calling the county tomorrow. Who holds the death records? The county
clerk? I know all states are different.
