"Monmouth and Ocean: Preserving History for the Future. Archives Day
1998" will be held on October 17, 1998 at the Monmouth County Library,
125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan, New Jersey. This will be the third
annual Archives Day event held at the library.
Archives Day features:
- six lectures on New Jersey history
- an exhibition hall with representatives of history-related
organizations
- a video film festival with videos relating to archives
and history
- a World Wide Web room staffed with experts on
researching history on the internet
- tours of the Monmouth County Archives
- awards presentations by the Monmouth County, the Mid-Atlantic
Regional Archives Conference, and the NJ Academic Studies Alliance
The event is open to the public and admission is free. Box lunches
may be ordered in advance for $5.00.
