I moderate the NJ Rootsweb State list. I have just joined this list. I am not a part of
GENWEB
officially so I did not know of this lists existence until last night. I would gladly
become a
GENWEB member if I knew how to become one.
I have not been aware of the Problems of this man, Mr. Cooper, until I received 2 emails
about him
last night. On the NJ list this AM I receive a posting from a guy who has used Mr. Cooper
and
speaks well of him.
I have petitioned Rootsweb to allow posts of books & services on my state lists that
are state
specific. The condition is that they only post once per month.
I must be honest and say when Mr. Cooper posted to the NJ list I was delighted. I live in
GA and
getting to NJ to do some detailed work is virtually impossible for me. I immediately
emailed him
with a request and he promptly replied and said that he would do it for free. He did
mention that
most of the NJ listowners were not happy with his posts. At that point I was in the
dark.
I am checking into obtaining his services [and I will pay him] just to see if he is
reliable and
ethical. If he is not, then of course I will not allow his posts on the NJ list. I am
doing this
because I have already had members that have used his services come out in support of
him.
I am not saying that Glenn or Diane are wrong, please don't take it that way. I just
want to be
sure since there appears to be conflicting information about this man.
I will report back to this list when I have reached a decision and resolve on this issue.
Feel free
to contact me if you have personally sent him money and he has been dishonest in his
dealings with
you. I would like to have first-hand knowledge of this if at all possible.
Regards,
Adrianne Hopkins
