Hi, everyone,
My name is Peggy Tebbetts, and I am running for the State Coordinator position for the
NJGenWeb. My roots in New Jersey go back to the 1730's.
I have been doing genealogy for over 15 years now and hold various positions within the
USGenWeb and WorldGenWeb. Some of these positions include being a co-Assistant State
Coordinator and CC for Sussex for the NJGenWeb, and a Mentor for the TXGenWeb.
If elected, I would like to see some special projects take shape with coordinators
assigned to them. Some of the project ideas are: NJ in the Rev. and Civil War, tombstone
inscriptions, cemeteries, and courthouses. I would also like to implement databases that
folks can contribute to such as Births, Marriages, and Deaths, Ancestor Registry and a
Research Exchange Program.
I feel that the CC's are the most important part of any state site, therefore,
everyone would be a part of the decision process on what projects to include. I will
always be open for suggestions and will strive to make the NJGenWeb the BEST site of the
USGenWeb, one that all will enjoy visiting.
My best,
Peggy
