Hello everyone:
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Christine Goff, I am running
for the position of NJ State Coordinator. I have been doing Genealogy
Research for over 26 years. I not only research my own lines but I do
research for others.
I have been the County Coordinator for Bergen NJ for the past few years. I
currently also hold the State Census Coordinator position for RI. and I
work on several other projects on Rootsweb and the USGenWeb.
I have computer programing experience which I know will be a great asset to
the NJ site.
I would like, if elected, to make the NJ GenWeb, the number one research
site for anyone who has even one family member connected to the state. I
plan on having the most complete on-line resources available to anyone who
my visit us.
Not only will they be able to visit each of our great counties, but also
easy for them to connect to every NJ document we can find in print and
those never printed . I alone have numerous NJ documents, and raw data
which can be made available on-line.
I would be able to help each of you with program problems, research
questions, etc. We can implement ideas each of you may have, to also make
our site the greatest.
I would promoted our site to every Genealogical Society, and Library
My goal will be that any researcher, who visits, would have to go no
farther than our county sites, to find the information they seek.
I would like to implement a county to county link that will cross
reference records for each county. You will have information available to
help you with questions and queries, for those who still may need some
help and guidance.
This will not take place over night, but with the great coordinators we
have already and some of the wonderful other volunteers we have, along with
the other connections and resource I have and those we can find together.
We can make it happen.
These are just a few of the ideas I have. I know each of you have some
great ideas too.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am not a political type
person, so I am not a great speech writer like some of our forefathers. I
speak from the heart and hope it some makes sense on paper.

You can never change who you are.
You can never know what you can become unless you try.
Our destiny is laid out in front of us.
We choose the way we will be remembered.
Our's is a path that leads us forward into the next generation
As we trek upon it, let us not forget those who started it for us to follow.
For our heritage will be lost if we do not leave our footprints, for those
who come after us.
Let us always remember, Let us pass on our knowledge. Let us leave a
legacy, lest we be also lost in the dust of time.
