Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Okay. since Robin has cast her vote. LOL
Robin, would you like to handle the voting?
Does anyone else feel moved to toss your hat in? Please let us know.
So.... let's do this. If Robin agrees to receive and count the votes, then
I would like her to pick one other person to also count with her. Or if
someone wants to volunteer, please let us know.
Then, if anyone else wants to run, please let us know that by Friday,
February 10, 2012, by midnight.
If no one else wants to run, then I guess we can declare the election
complete, but I'd like this on the record.
If someone else runs, then I'd love it if Robin and one other person who is
not running, would collect the votes. Then we can get on with business for
the state.
Okay? I'd appreciate hearing from everyone if this is agreeable to you.
Thanks.

Does anyone else want to run for SC?
How many days should we take for anyone else to nominate themselves or someone else?

I agree, let's keep it simple. If there is anyone else that wishes to be
SC, let them speak up. We can then decide to vote amongst ourselves. I
do not have a problem with casting my vote via the list.
Denise is right, we need to make it official and get on with the
business of finding data for our sites.

Super quiet with Gloucester Co too.
I am in favor of keeping it super simple too. We could make nominations to
the list. I would be good with sending my vote to the list, but if we want
the voting to be private, one of us could collect the votes directly.
As this is my first year - do we also nominate and elect ASCs or are they
appointed? Sry for the dum question....

Why not try this
Since there would only be, at best, a small number of votes, I don't think
there is a need for the National people involved. So, why not request that
nominations be submitted for the position. If there is only one nomination,
then there is no need for an election. If there are no nominations, appoint
a committee to find some one. If there are two or more nominations, then we
find a couple of people to monitor the election.
Nominations can be self made and contrary to popular belief, a second is not
required.

Really quiet for Union county too, except have been getting some interest
through NJUnionGenWeb posts on Facebook. Now that the holidays are over,
maybe it will pick up during Who Do You Think You Are? Season 3!
