Has anyone added any town or local coordinators to their county sites? If
so, please let me know right away. I am preparing a report for the election
committee.
Thanks.

The below was sent by the SC for MS to the coordinator mail list. I am
posting here with Everette's permission.
------------
MSGenWeb Members
During every National Election charges of irregularities are always
leveled. Collusion among certain candidates and members of the EC are
falsely accused
of tampering with votes and manipulating the results. This year has been
no different.
The Election Committee has arranged for the votes to be made public to
dispel any rumors or false and malicious accusations that the election is
rigged. Using a spreadsheet, the individual in charge of the election,
Larry Stephens, has laid out every vote for every individual that cast a
ballot. Ass you know, most volunteers get to vote several times depending
on the office the candidate is seeking. Every eligible voter can vote for
the National Coordinator position. Only CC's can vote for the regional CC
Representative but they can vote in every region where they maintain a site.
SC's are the only ones that can vote for the SC Representative.
The voter is identified by password only. Larry Stephens , who is not a
member of USGenWeb is the only individual that knows who belongs to each
password. Larry created the program which is maintained offsite on a
University computer.
You should find this spread sheet interesting. Comments on the DISCUSS
list should be interesting tonight. See the link below:

Hi Shawn....
I have never understood all of this election process, but I believe it has
something to do with percentages over or what ever. Is anyone else more
knowlegeable about this proceedure? Jan Cortez may know the answer to this. What
do you say, Jan?
I'm fine with it being a runoff, but it will be up to my constituents and
the number of those who vote in whatever area the folks are cc'ing. I know
Georgia has a huge number of counties, but not everyone votes in the election.
The same number of possible votes is the most probable, unless folks received
their password and did not vote at their first opportunity. However, when
they set up the runoff election, only those who are eligible to vote in that
area will be allowed to vote.
It's a machine that is sometimes beyond my understanding, and I don't get
caught up in all of that. My commitment is to the coordinators and not to the
politics.
If you did register and received a password, you will be notified again when
the runoff is scheduled, and if you feel I would be a good person to
represent you at that level, please consider me.
