Hi Listers,
Have just joined this list and am wondering if and how someone might be able to help or
give me some advice.
I have an ancestor, DOLINA ROSS WARING, who according to family stories, left Sydney circa
1890's or early 1900's to live in New Caledonia and married a Frenchman there.
My grandfather ALFRED JARVIS, being Dolina's nephew, told of going to live with her
for a few years and came back speaking French very well. :-)
I am just wondering if there is any way Dolina can be traced in New Caledonia. I have no
idea what records or how they are kept are there, but just thought I would ask and see if
someone had information or advice for me.
Thanking you in anticipation
Dorothy
