I'm sorry, SOC means social security.
Thanks,

As to where they were at...I'm not sure about the sister, but during 1961 Henry, his wife (at the time) Naomi, and their daughter Forrestine were living in Carson City, Nevada.
I know. It's a near impossible search for the sister (unless I can find her in 2022 on the 1950 Census records). But I figured, what can it hurt to ask here anyway? I keep holding out hope that maybe she knows her biological father's name, and might be searching for information on him too. Or perhaps one of his relatives might recognize the history.

You don't say where in Nevada they might have been. So far, all I have is SOC info, which you apparently checked as the dates are the same.

I'm looking for my mother's older half sister (my aunt), who may or may not know about my mother and I. Here's a general synopsis of what I've been told:
She is the first child of Henry Sherman Sheridan Thomas, who was most likely born in either 1949 or 1950 (possibly a year later or year earlier, I'm not sure). She is my mother's older, half sister (my mother was born in June of 1961 and her sister should've been about ten-years-old). From what I know, this woman's mother died young, but wanted her daughter to have nothing to do with her father, Henry. So somehow she worked it out that upon her death, the daughter would be raised by her maternal grandparents. (She may or may not know about her younger, half sister.)
Side notes on Henry S.S. Thomas include that he was a twin, and his twin was female. He also had an older sister. One of these sisters' names was Audrey. Henry died in San Francisco (we believe his to be in July 1984 and his DOB to be 24 Mar 1923, but we're not 100% positive).
If you have ANY information whatsoever, I am all ears!! Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me find out more about her, or even get in touch with her!

If you receive no reply to your query, may I suggest you send for his social security application? The cost is $ 27.00, but has information his obituary may not have, ie; father's name, mother's maiden name, etc.
