Thanks so much - I have tried both of your suggested ways to find out about the certificates and have come up nil. I did find out from another source on the internet that Rotor Wings was out of Las Vegas and went out in 1957. I don't know if it was bought out or died a business death. I'm really looking for the history on these companies. Doubt there is any kind of $$ with the certificates. They do look good on the wall! Again, thank you for your note.

You would have to contact the Secretary of State's office to determine if either of these companies were registered with them.
I can tell you that Cobb Creek is located in Elko County and wasnamed for Mr. Cobb, an Oregoniana, who came to the Mountain City area around 1870.
Mining information is also available through the State Department of LIbrary and Archives.
Thanks Marcena!

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone out there on this list would know what & where is
the best place to look up obits & birth announcements for Washoe County?
These would be between the late 1980's until present? Is there somewhere on
line to find these?
I talked to the health department people & they said records are sealed.
Plus, the fact I'm trying to do some lookups for other people on these lists &
that is not something they will let you do. You have to prove your
relationship of the people your looking up.... Would the main library in
Reno have all this type of information & some of the other libraries around
Sparks & Reno???
Thanks for any help.
Val
