A good place to try a search is the LLCGS web site. Do a soundex
search though for your surname.

The Nebraska State Historical Society is closed for any research
though so you will not likely find any obituaries especially that far
back. See their website:

Beginning January 17, 2009, the Nebraska State Historical Society's
headquarters at 1500 R is undergoing a two-year renovation project to
bring life/safety and HVAC conditions up to current standards.
Researchers planning to work with collections housed in the facility
should take note that during 2009 and into 2010 the Reference Room IS
CLOSED and that research materials are unavailable.
Please check the NSHS website often for updates on the closure of the
Reference Room, or call (402)-471-4771 or email
nshs.libarch(a)nebraska.gov for information.

Hello!
I am looking for evidence (gravestones, obituaries, other records, i.e., church records)
of twins, Ole and Marie Olesen (Olsen) that were born in 1876 and died in 1878. Their
parents, Christian and Marie Olesen (Olsen) lived south of Lincoln, Nebr. At that time
they were recent immigrants from Asdal, Hjorring, Denmark. These were the only children
they had at that time. Sometime before 1879 they moved to Hardy, Nuckolls County, Nebr.
Another son, Soren Olsen was born 02 Nov 1879. I believe he was born by Hardy, but he may
have been born south of Lincoln before they moved.
Thank you for your willingness to help me find this information. I am compiling a
family history of the Olsen family from which Christian derives and each of his
siblings from their immigration to present day. Once I gather a little more information,
I will likely be asking for for other assistance.
