I've "rescued" a group of family photographs belonging to the MERSELIS
Family. The first is a photograph of Warren G. MERSELIS and Bertha MERSELIS
of North Bend, Nebraska. The photograph appears to have been taken in the
early 1900's with both looking to be in their 20's at the time.
The second photograph is of Rena Stanton MERSELIS who appears to be in her
20's in a photograph also probably taken in the early 1900's. There is no
studio or location noted on this second photograph. The third and fourth
photographs are of Lois Antoinette MERSELIS of Geneva, New York, one at age
5 and the other at age 3, both likely taken in about 1910-1920.
Based on limited research I did find Warren G. MERSELIS still in Dodge
County, NE during the 1930 census with his date of birth estimated to be
1888. I also found Lois MERSELIS in Ontario Co., NY in the 1930 census with
her date of birth estimated to be 1907.
The photographs were recovered along with others belonging to the GROFF,
WOOD, and SHULTS Families including photographs from Austin, MN. The
handwritten notations on all the photographs were made by the same hand
though I've no idea how they are related. I'm hoping to locate someone from
this MERSELIS Family so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned
to their rightful place with family.
If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please
