I was frustrated with the way that we had currently for searching at
familysearch.org and discovered a way to go directly to the counties
courthouse vital records of birth, marriage and death in order to
research quicker. I have tried to collect all the batch numbers that
I can find and figure out and made a free website for everyone to link
to and use for their state sites. If anyone finds any errors that
would be great to let me know also. I found that some batch records,
you have to look at several pages to find some county records that
were combined in batches for some reason, so it may appear that the
batch record goes to the wrong area. I have been working on it
steadily and have added a great deal to it. There is still a little
to do. I hope that you will all enjoy it. I placed all free state
vital records links on there too for extra help, especially for the
western states where the records aren't always easily obtainable.
http://www.ohgen.net I hope you will !
give it a try and see what you think. I leave the fields blank and
then go through all the records of the county so that I can see what
is avaliable for all my ancestors at one time. The map is clickable
and so is the state index box. Also linked to each state webpage is a
county map. The county map however is not linkable.
