Sandy,
Yes I did read it, just thought maybe it was miss worded and the meaning was
different than the way it was written.
I have been out all day working with my flower beds and have come in to cool
off and take a break, it is finally in the 80's here and beautiful after 6
days straight of rain. : )
Technically I maintain 21 sites, 20 of which are NCGenWeb projects. 11
counties and 9 military sites as well as the Missouri Civil War site. I plug
away at them and I also have a great team of transcribers and other
volunteers that help me with all of the transcriptions and other things so
all I have to do is post the new materials and try to keep links updated.
They do keep me busy but I love every minute of it. : )
Diane

Subject: Re: [NCGENWEB-DISCUSS] Derick's announcement!
Hi Diane,
I'm quite calm, dear. ;) However, Derick did announce a "new," albeit
Incorrect, URL for our state project site. Indeed it was the thrust
Of his message. Perhaps you just failed to read it?
Specifically he stated:
> - The NCGenWeb Project, following the lead of our national
> organization, can now be found at: <snip>
But of course, as you note, it was an incorrect URL, the correct one
Being:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncgenweb/
Links to our official state project site are not inconsequential, so
Please be certain you have the correct URL on all of your, what 12
Sites? Goodness, how do you do manage? I had no idea any one person
In the project had quite so many counties. Well, get outside if you
Can. The weather and water are finally simultaneously delightful
Here, and I can't imagine how we all survived before wireless, can you?
Take care,
-Sandy

Calm down please...Derick was referring to the NCGenWeb server page
where a
majority of the sites have moved, not the projects main pages. He
made the
announcement to mailing lists for his sites in addition to this
list, which
isn't and shouldn't be a problem.
