When considering what is best for visitors to the county sites, I think it is
less confusing and more efficient to have a single source from which to
access all of the available information. In that light, I would vote to
allow the county sites to affiliate with any and all of the various
sponsoring organizations. I think the benefit outweighs the downside of one
poor coordinator tying up three sites.
I also believe in not having transcribed archives on the county websites, but
rather submitting them all to the USGenWeb Archives repository and linking to
them there. That is with the submitters' approval of course, as I understand
that some people have copyright concerns.
As for how many counties one coordinator can handle, I think it may be a good
policy in general to limit it to one or two, with an exception for current
coordinators who have more than that.
I am always interested in hearing comments and suggestions regarding the Wake
County USGenWeb site.
