Just thought I'd share something. Someone who is on the Rootsweb mailing
list for Guilford copied a whole series of Guilford marriage licenses for
grooms with surnames starting with A, while she was in Salt Lake City. She
thought she had the whole alphabet, but this is better than nothing. I want
to confine my efforts on the website largely to marriage bonds and bastardy
bonds, as there are less of them, and they can be harder to access.
But I didn't want to waste this person's effort and wonderful unselfishness,
so I was looking for a way to put these "out there" without spending days
setting up links. I just don't have the time and energy to set these up
individually. I ended up loading the images into a Picasa album, and
notified the Rootsweb list where to find them.

I plan to link to this from the Guilford site within the next few days. And
I thought one or two of you might like the idea -- if you haven't already
thought of it yourself. Updating the album is very easy. I wish there was
a way we could do this on a statewide basis -- i.e., for tombstone
pictures. What is the status of the Tombstone Transcription Project, by the
way?
