Charlie,
The specific bylaws governing the election - apply only to the AB
and NC. The States have their choices. No State's rights shall be
abrogated. You need to respect the precedent already established
by NCGenWeb's last election before this. Most vote get the position.
If you insist on this, you can count on opposition from many states
on this matter. Best to leave states' rights and choices alone!

Hi, Y'all,
I'm back from Branson, MO (which I STRONGLY recommend as a holiday spot)
and am overwhelmed with lots of mail (686 SPAMs were deleted at the Branson
Public Library) leaving me with 288 to deal with.
After having read all the mail, learning in the process that I had the
greatest number of affirmative votes in the NCGW SC election, I wish to
thank the EC for helping us with this process.
I also noted discussion for and against a run-off. I want to go on record
at this time as not caring, one way or the other, which motion prevails.
National allows us to conduct our business any way we want, within the
limitations of governing by-laws. On the other hand, nobody wants to see a
leader presiding with less than a mandate. I certainly don't want the
stigma of illegitimacy placed upon my shoulders.
I didn't tally the responses on the issue at hand. Many of those who have
raised questions of partiality in the past need fear not from me. If y'all
want a runoff, go for it! I do believe, however, that the folks who favor
the run-off be appointed to a committee to determine the best way to
conduct this run-off.
Signing off until I learn the results of this discussion.
