I think any recommendations on procedure would be be
Denise's call,
not mine.
But I do think there need to be announcements on
NCGenWeb-L, because
at this point, the full membership of NCGenWeb hasn't even
been
informed of what you're proposing - or how it came up.
I suspect others may be just as unaware of the raging
controversy
over the TGN/Ancestry/Rootsweb search engine as I was. And
I'm quite
sure they don't know all that you do about Daryl's search
engine, let
alone your vehement opposition to it.
So for starters, I think Denise needs to ensure the entire
project
has a heads up that you're proposing to construct a
statewide search
engine for the project, so they can at least tune in to
the discussion.
