Yes I did say that I objected to the vote and ballot to you in writing

As a matter of fact I filed a complaint with Brigette about that very thing.
I then I
filed the same complaint with Yvonne and Holly. I was basically ignored by
both.
From your end I suppose it must have seemed that way. I was quite ill
and
just keeping up with my job which is what puts food on the table.
Eventually it became clear that I had to resign from the Board which I am
sure you know by now. Frankly, an additonal cause of the delay was my
trying to think up a *nice* way to explicitly say some things you have
refused to hear. Through the time period complained about I was subbed to
both -ALL and to this list and thus was well aware of the background and
cricumstances, quite apart from the perspectives on the matter provided by
you and by Elizabeth. Since I am no longer on the Board, I can now speak
with less attanetion to the niceties of mediation attempts.
diane... you are wrong. Several states have strict rules about what can and
can not be posted to their required state lists, some of these providing a
separate forum, not required, for what is not permitted on the required
list such as Elizabeth has done by providing this -DISCUSS list.
Your cross-posting of a selected one-sided opinion on the -ALL list,
whether disguised as *from a friend* or openly quoted was uncalled for and
presented the worst of what was being said with virtually no posting of
responses. Your insulting attitude towards Elizabeth and others who did not
agree with you as well as to those who simply want to work on their
counties and not get involved in any of the politics was rude and divisive.
Perhaps if there had not been a serious backlog in the mail list requests
and this list had appeared sooner things might have gone better but I
seriously doubt it as you have continued to post your arguments and attacks
there as recently as yesterday. Many of the SC's in the USGenWeb Project
would not have tolerated your behavior any where near as patiently as
Elizabeth and many of the North Carolina CC's have done.
I have since written a complaint to the acting NC for the problem
with
having my grievance against this election process ignored.
Of course I didn't discuss the current Vote while it was in process. That
is the point it was already in process. Discussion was cut short in favor
of a rushed
vote.
I saw no rush in the vote, sufficient time was given and votes counted by
an outside neutral person, all in vain attempts to satisfy your demands.
I did not undermine my own complaint by not voting, I could not in
good
conscious participate in a
manipulated and forced election.
There was nothing manipulated or unfair about the election. Not voting was
your choice.
Fairness also means allowing discussion for all not just a few. You
know
American would never have gained it independence if discussion and dissent
had not been allowed. These are the standards we live by in the real world.
If you wanted to be fair you would help create a governing body for No Car
to set up elections and make decisions that are fair to all.
Discussion is alllowed here on this list for any NC CC's who wish to
particpate, thus discussion is allowed "for all not just a few". If held on
the NCGEN-L list then all are subjected to it whether they wish it or not
as that list is required. The real world does not force anyone to be
present at or particpate in political discussions.
