You have a right to your opinions and I won't argue with those opinions,
only against actions that are wrong when it affects the state.
But Angie, i do know the bylaws, and i do know that the AB cannot do anymore
than advise on issues involving the states and that is fact. And that is if
you can even get them to answer their mail.
If a person files a grievance, as was the case during Sharon's term where
she had a grievance filed against her, the advisory board asked Sharon if
she would submit to a "mediation". Sharon responded NO, and that was the
end of the ABs involvement in the state. They said their hands were tied
because they can only advise. So i know very well about the bylaws and
grievances and the AB. I do not fear them giving an answer at all, because
they probably won't answer for months if ever.
But no where in the national bylaws does it assign an SC the right to
dictate...only coordinate the Foundation of the Project--that being the CCs.
Duties NOT Assigned in the bylaws, do not by default become permissible
simply because it did not say that You Couldn't do it. That is no way to
interpret anything.
The rest of what you said was opinions and you are welcome to have those but
you can't force them on the rest of us.

I think we're all quite capable of reading the by-laws. I've read them
many times. But we're not discussing a reading of the by-laws, we're
discussing an interpretation of them. And to be blunt, I think your
interpretation is far off course. I find it surprising that someone who
so
constantly cries, "By-laws! By-laws!" is unwilling to use
the procedures
outlined in them. Or perhaps you'd rather not find out whether an
official ruling would favor you, or whether Derick is correct?

Actually, I didn't tell anyone to hush up. I did suggest, however, what
seems to me to be a more productive use of our time than constantly going
over the same tired territory when nothing can be accomplished by doing
so. If you find it productive to continue to complain here, have at
it. Although, for my part, it's gotten rather old that no matter what the
topic of discussion, somehow it gets turned back to a complaint about
Derick and/or the organizational structure and/or the ASCs.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again -- you don't know me very
well
if you think I'm just a "yes man" (or "yes
woman") for ANYONE. I've
disagreed with Derick many times in the past, and probably will disagree
with him many times in the future. That doesn't mean that I can't agree
with him now on this issue -- and that agreement has nothing to do with
being an ASC.
