Diana,
I am copy and pasting a copy of a message I sent out
to the NCGenWeb list several months ago. A search of
the NCGenWeb archives should bring up this same message.

To: NCGenWeb List <NCGENWEB-L(a)rootsweb.com>
Hello NCGenWeb CCs,
Just wanted to let you know that today I received the NC
Certificate of Registration of the Service Mark, "NCGENWEB".
Officially we are described as, " NORTH CAROLINA GENEALOGY
RESEARCH LOCATED ON THE INTERNET in class 107, EDUCATION
AND ENTERTAINMENT ".

I believe that is called communication.
To my knowledge, the only CC who has come into the project
that I may have not introduced is Tracy Smith, for Bath County.
Her official entry date for membership in NCGenWeb is July 2001.
As far as I understand things, we are not a correspondence club.
It is my understanding that we are a group of people with county
pages to prepare for public display.
There is, and has been, a list provided for the CCs to use for
corresponding to one another. It is not my fault if folks choose
not to use it.
I am going to be away from my computer until Sunday evening.
When I return I will do my best to answer each and every accusation
you have aimed at me. But frankly, I have other things I'd rather
do with my time!
I have yet to understand why you find it necessary to attempt to
stir things up.
Have a good weekend!
Sharon
