Rob,
as I understand it, this is merely a name change, and doesn't reflect
any change in the actual holdings/ownerships.
I think it's still the same thing..... i.e., the world's biggest media
conglomerate, intent on owning everything in sight.... <g>
And I just can't avoid pointing out the old "quantity above quality"
aspect of all of this, perhaps best displayed in the LEAD GRAPH of CNN's
own story (CNN/CNNfn being owned by Time Warner) on the website you
referenced.........
"NEW YORK (CNNfn) -- AOL Time Warner has dropped AOL from its name,
erasing any trace of the company from the media giant's name in the
third year if their union. "
..."the third year IF their union." ???????
Good lord. You'd think an outfit with this much money could at least
invest in a decent copy desk staff.

Oh, I dunno....
AOL-Time Warner is rapidly acquiring ownership of the entire world, it
seems.
I suppose when they add RW/Ancestry, i.e.
Myfamily.com, to their
holdings, and that'll fix it.
