Sandy and all,
I am indeed proposing that we extend voting privileges to members of
special Projects. How can we expect to attract folks to our Project if we
don't consider their work to be worthy of a vote. I would like to see us
revisit the questions that resulted in only *certain* counties a vote. We
need to define the word "Project." At the present time, we have only two
Projects that do not enjoy the vote: The NC Unknown County Project and the
NC Military Page Project. As each Project is created, the question of
voting power for each one can be determined. I don't expect this to result
in dozens of minor projects to suddenly appear.
If we could make this a parliamentary procedure, I would like to see that
matter solved in an equitable manner. I am only proposing, at this time,
that the two Projects that now fall under the control of the NCGenWeb
Project enjoy voting status. This would be entirely consistant with the
procedure now in place for the 100+ counties.
And is it now the general consensus of the membership to do this?
That's what I would like to determine.
