Hi all,
I wanted to send you a note and let you know that the North Carolina in
World War II site is now up and running! You can visit the site here:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncwwii/
I have linked every County that has Military information to each of the
sites, American Revolution, Civil War, WWI, and WWII as well as on the main
Military site. If I have missed your County please let me know so that I can
add you to the listings.
I have also put links to every County ROD that I could find online, if you
know of one I missed please send me the link and I will add it. You can also
add the links to your own sites, as they usually have searchable databases,
and they are excellent starting points for researchers!
If each of you wouldn't mind would you please post a link at least to the
main Military site:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncmil/index.htm on your web
sites so that your researchers will have access to a variety of information.
I have had a great response from researchers all over the state looking for
information as well as sending in information of their own to add to the
sites. I think it is beneficial to all of us to link back and forth that way
the County sites will get more Military information as well as having a
place to send researchers when they are looking for information on other
Counties or for information in general.
If you know of anything to add to this site or any of the others please feel
free to let me know and I will get more information and add it in.
Thanks and happy hunting!
Diane
