I will make a short announcement to the mandatory list about HOT TOPICS. I
won't send messages that are full of argument. I'll notify, and those interested
can sub to the DISCUSS list if they want it all.
Let's NOT post the e-mail addresses of the CC's to the list. The only reason
to have them all is to do massive mailings (aka spam). In the future, if one
of you wants our support or input on an issue, using the key to back door of
the henhouse only upsets us who are roosting.
I won't post a list of all the e-mail addresses of the CCs. I see no reason
for
it, and I think many people would object to my doing so.
Again, other than "it's easier to remember a short URL" (which is true)
I'd
like to hear other reasons (ENUMERATED short phrases IN BREVITY) that speaks
to me. I am really willing to back issues that are logical, I like good
change, I just don't care for ENDLESS discussion and LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG.
It may be easier to remember short urls, but I have my Watauga NCGenWeb page as
my "home" on my browser. I go there and all I have to do is click on the
NCGenWeb
link I have at the top of the page. I seldom type in a url. I either go to one
of my own links, or I may have it bookmarked. Either one takes less time than
typing in even a short url.
