I have an idea that might work for those of you who are being trapped in frames by other
sites. Since this isn't happening to my pages, I'm not sure it covers the
problem, but I thought I'd share it.
I have one cemetery on my McDowell County site, the rest are links to other
places. This cemetery is "Macedonia," and is on this page:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncmcdowe/cemetery.html
What I am having the "Cemeteries" page do is (using a java script app) open a
new window without the file menu or the location bar. The Macedonia page has the
"frame buster" code in it, and a "Disable right clicks" script. This
way if someone is trying to find out the name I used for the Macedonia page, I don't
think they'll be able to, and therefore cannot link to it. Like I said, I'm not
sure it will help, and I did put a warning at the top of the Macedonia page that says this
information is available for free at my site. If anyone wants to try to find a hole in my
"method" please feel free, just please don't hurt the page! =) If you do
find a problem, please let me know. If it works, I'll be glad to help anyone set this
up if you want it.
I've also found a very neat little program, actually 3 programs that work together to
create pdf files and it's free here:
http://over.to/freepdf
I used it to create a pdf for the Macedonia Cemetery I mentioned above. It will make a
pdf from any program that can use a printer: IE, Netscape, Word, PAF, etc.
