What would be your thoughts on how people should be handled that have
destroyed county web pages? Just let them float on to the next state to do
another site the same way when it suited them?
Since I adopted a site that was at least partially trashed by a former CC I
think I understand the problem that is being discussed on the SC-Coord list.
I don't have any answers in how to solve this problem but I really don't
think creating a Blackball list for persons who have done this will solve the
problem. In this internet world we're living in it would be nothing for a
person to give themselves an alias, obtain a different email addy, and then
try to adopt a site with this new identity.
I can also understand the concerns of CCs being added to a Blacklist unfairly
by a SC because of personality conflicts between the two. As a new CC to the
USGenWeb since last spring I have seen alot. I was unfairly labeled as a
"vote-packer" and "trouble-maker" on the SC-Coord list. I believe the
person
felt this way about me because I dared question the change from the
previously established June 1 cutoff date to April 1 for eligibility to vote
in our National Elections. If a Blacklist was in existence then, I'm sure my
name would have been added to it because I was "vocal" in my opinions.
