I don't have a problem with offering a listing of professional
researchers for hire and how to contact them, although I think the
project needs to be VERY careful it doesn't get into the business of
"recommending" any particular researcher.
(If, on the other hand, you have personally made use of particular
researcher, I don't see any reason why you cannot on a purely private
and personal basis make a recommendation to someone if you so wish).
I *do* have a problem with crossing that fine line and essentially
"advertising" the services of one particular researcher on a USGW
site.
I further have a problem if you allow a paid researcher to
essentially dominate and use a USGW county query board for
solicitation for "customers."
As for linking to commercial sites....sorry, but I have a real
problem with situations in which it is pretty obvious that a cc is
using his/her affiliation with the USGW Project as a means of
soliciting money or business for his/her own personal gain.
I think it creates too great a potential for conflicts of interest.
