I am sure a lot of people are feeling the same way as you are, Anne. When
you are under fire it is hard to have a clear thought. It accomplishes
nothing to tirade at people who don't agree with you, it just puts them on
the defensive, like you said. I could not agree with you more that no one
should be ridiculed for their ideas.
I thought it would be interesting if we would all give some thought to how
we envision our project and what we want it to be; and if we would try to
express those thoughts in clear sentences. Maybe we would find a lot more
common ground that way and gain more respect and tolerance for those whose
opinions differ from ours because we find out we share some common goals.
I, at least, would be interested in hearing what different people want to
see for our project. A lot of the focus recently has been on what people
don't want. I'd like to know what they do want.
What I would like to see, is emails that are thought through
CAREFULLY,
read
and re-read so that verbage that is unneccessary , thoughtless, and
ridden
with accusations be removed from it. Until this is done, I don't think
any
of us will be willing to try to "do" anything except
survive as we are.
Your suggestion (above) would go a long way toward making this a better
place. You are right, how can you be thoughtful in a hostile atmosphere?
Thanks, Anne.
