According to your Organizational Plan you say about your "board".....
"They
shall have voting power over issues that are directed to them from other
sources (described below)." If they have voting powers then why can't the
CC's have a voice in voting for who will be on the board? The national
project provides this oppportunity for us to vote on our AB representatives.
Nowhere in our national bylaws does it give you the authority to make up
this plan/guidelines or bylaws without the "state project" involved. The
state project means all the CC's in this state, not one person.

Subject: [NCGENWEB-DISCUSS] Revision of Organizational Plan
Re:

Folks,
Now that you have had a chance to read and understand the Organizational
Plan....I'm going to change it!
Angie Rayfield, our Eastern District ASC has had disagreements with me in
the past and I with her. The important thing is that she has been
instrumental in seeing things from a different perspective and being able
to relay those thoughts on to me.
She recently made several suggestion for the rewording of the Operational
Plan (henceforth "OP"). Both of these suggestions relate to the
opportunity
for future bylaws as well as emphasizing the limited powers of the
Board.
Both of these suggestions have been added to the OP and serve as further
clarification. I really appreciate how Angie has jumped in with both feet.
[see rev. date 7-30-02]
In addition, I have designated Ron Eason as a Board member. If and when we
take this OP one step farther, I would like to propose the following: The
Board shall have the power to bring any matter pertaining to the operation
of the NCGW Project to the State Coordinator. A majority rule among the
Board shall have the effect of prompting action from the SC (word it
however you like.).
For those who missed my prior statement, I am not looking for power. I
want
to see a fully-operative, fully representative organization. Some
define
it
as a democracy, I define it as a totally cooperative venture
dedicated to
excellence and the sharing of our collective creative resources. In June,
2003, another vote will take place: that of deciding whether y'all want me
to continue for another year. I would love to see the NCGW the talk of the
web by then.
