I just want to remind everyone about the requirements to insure that each
and every CC in the NCGenWeb will be able to vote in the upcoming elections.
The SC or their designated assistant is responsible to supplying the
Election Committee with a complete list of members eligible to vote but the
process required to become registered and eligible is solely in the hands on
each and every CC. The final date for registration is and verification is
May 31. Anyone who has not been registered and verified as of May 31 will
not receive a password or be able to vote. If the Election Committee has an
old e-mail address, only the individual member can change it so do not rely
on the fact that you voted last year to insure you can vote this year
unless you have updated your registration...
If you have changed your e-mail during the year, it is solely your
responsibility to make certain that it is changed on the registration list.
Neither the SC or any member of the Election Committee is authorized to do
it for you. This is actually for your benefit. No one other than the each
individual CC can make any changes! This takes out the middleman so that an
error by either a SC or a member of the Election Committee can not result in
a member being denied the right to vote...
I urge each of you who have not registered to please visit the Election
Committee Registration site and verify that your information is correct. The
link is at:
http://www.usgwelections.org/USGenWeb/index.html
Read the directions very carefully and let me know if you have any
questions. Please do this as soon as possible. The Election Committee is
very short-handed at the moment so waiting until May 31 may be too late if
there is any problem.
I will send another message next week to make certain that the word reaches
everyone. I will also try to get the same message posted to the mandatory
list.
Thanks,
Nola
