Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Using http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncwwi/ and doing a count of the open and
close table statements, it looks like you have one to many opens.
IE will let you get by with things that NS will not...

No it isn't the background, the verbiage on the page is all centered in
like a two inch space causing it to have like 3 words or so on each line.
If this stays formatted, this is how http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncwwi/ and
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncmil/nccivwar.htm and
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncmil/index.htm looks in NS
I get this with the rest...

Joel,
Thanks! Always nice to know we have a pro in our midst. During roll call I found a great new menu
program to help with one of my sites on the Tyrrell Co. page and Charles was kind enough to share it
with me. Seems we have a lot of talent here.
Nola
Sandy,
Let us give it a few days first to see who does not respond.

Sandy,
No problems here and I just uploaded something into all 7 accounts. Maybe
try clearing your cache. Go to tools Internet options and click on delete
files. Then try again.
Maybe this will help. Another good cleaner to use is CCCleaner it is free
and it works great! http://www.ccleaner.com/ It freed up all kinds of space
for me. And it doesn't delete anything that will hurt your computer. I went
from 13 GB to over 17 GB of free space as it deletes all the temp files, etc
Hope this helps!

I honestly try to avoid any "political" discussion as I fear it is only a diversion (often time consuming) from our true mission to provide free genealogical information online. However, I also don't want to keep you in the dark about anything.
We've been asked if we, ncgenweb, would be interested in sponsoring a bylaw amendment which would change the number of SC representatives on the Advisory Board from 4 (one for each region) to just 1 for the whole US. Those for this idea feel that State Coordinators are overly represented on the AB - given the percentage of the whole that they represent.
If you have an opinion on this matter and feel that ncgenweb should be involved by sposoring this amendment, please respond on this list. I'll be tallying responses.
Sorry for the interruption to those of you who'd rather not be bothered by these kinds of emails!

Subject: Request to sponsor bylaw amendment
Good morning,
This message is being sent to each State Coordinator and Assistant
State Coordinator in the USGenWeb Project. It is also being sent to
the Special Project managers who, while not being
permitted to sponsor/co-sponsor the proposal, should be equally concerned.
For several years it has been known and discussed that our bylaws
provide for a huge discrepancy in voter representation. That is, the
SC/ASC members as a group, now enjoy a 10 to 1 voter representation
over the CC group. The simple numbers are that 22 SC/ASC members
receive the same amount of Advisory Board representation as do 220 CC members.
In an organization that has been deemed a grounds up organization and
where the CCs have been acknowledged as the back bone of the
organization, this is a profound disparity.
To all of you I ask that you review the proposal to correct this
disparity. It is posted at URL
http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/elk/2007amnd.html
I also ask that after reviewing the proposal you bring it before your
membership for discussion and eventual vote. A vote to
sponsor/co-sponsor the proposed amendment change.
Thank you for your time and cooperation. If there are any questions
concerning the proposal or the numbers justifying the proposal,
please don't hesitate to contact me or to address those concerns on
the DISCUSS list.

Diane,
I will try to get my list to you tomorrow. Just got a couple of new Rev. pensions to post today.
