The 1940 census indexing is a very worthy project to be sure, but for
us personally at this house, we are swamped with local indexing
projects with the BeaverHead-Hunter Genealogical Society. So while
we are in no position to take on more, please don't any of you let
that seem like apathy or lack of moral support for participation.
That said, my first question would be what is the difference between
the GenWeb group signing up vs being an individual indexer? I'm
supposing the relationships and camaraderie of an existing
organization where we know each other? Make use of that for all its
worth and in any way it can help.

Let's take a poll:
1. should the TXGenWeb Project sign up as a participating "society"
for
this?
2. are any of you willing to become the coordinator for this?
3. are any of you willing to participate in indexing?
