I put an example on the main page of my site temporarily just to give an
idea.

To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to MTGEN-request(a)rootsweb.com with the
word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
Jim:
The current GenWeb(?) email server prohibits attachments and any
imbedded images. Only plain TEXT is permitted. I believe this is a gross
error, and we should be allowed to transmit imbedded images to our
members for clarity. None of my logos and banner examples submitted to
our group last week were transmitted for that reason. I currently use
the logo approved by the group many years ago, and now it is no longer
permitted, as it required MT to be spelled out (Montana) and separated
from the GenWeb by a space. The banner created by Corky (I took over for
her) was initially used, and the society quickly forbid its use,
although it was on the list of ones to consider & choose.
I really have lost interest in the bickering, and only desire that one
solution be obtained. Again, I state that the 'stripping/denying' of
email image submittals for clarity should be terminated. My
transmittal's on this logo subject were held in some obscure conference
committee somehow attached to our group, and denied issuance to and our
members. I was admonished for that issuance. Also, I do not understand
why the logos established for our use over a decade ago, are now not not
permitted.
The replica image of one of the state license plates is a good idea,
unless the prison officials object? Maybe we forget about a logo, and
simply use some sort of text - since we aren't permitted to transmit any
logo's?
