I am Elaine Martin, the new CC for Park County. I have it updated and
ready to add any info that comes in or that I can dig up, and have
requested a second county to care for.
I have been a USGenWeb member since 1999, with a starting county in
TXGenWeb. I now have several counties in TXGenWeb and 1 county in
ARGenWeb. It has been a pleasure working with the TXGenWeb CCs and I am
looking forward to working in MTGenWeb as well.
I am a native Texan, but have lived all over the states and overseas as
a military wife. Sadly, Montana was not one of the states I got to live
in, so I am looking forward to learning more about Montana. If any of
you that live in Montana know of special places, events, or other
historical things of interest, I would enjoy hearing about them.
Genealogy has been a passion for over 40 years, and I have the mounds of
paperwork to show for the 40+ years. Computers & internet genealogy has
been a godsend to us, and I now have several external hard drives to
store all the files I have accumulated. One day I hope to scan all the
hard copies and keep them on the hard drives also. I probably would be
surprised at all the duplicates I end up having.
Once again, I am looking forward to working with you all.

Welcome, welcome everyone! Constance I know and what a coup for
MTGenWeb
to have her part of the family. I look forward to getting to know all the
new CCs!
I echo Shirley's request. I you have the time and have just one county,
won't you consider adopting an adjacent county? Adopting a particular area
that has more than one county actually helps. It is why I have adopted the
ones I have since people tread back and forth across those county lines.
Give it a thought.
Happy Karen!
